The very first Energy Plan for Georgia has been published and submitted to the Legislature and the Governor. You can read all 8 Chapters at www.georgiaenergyplan.org. The Plan recommends that the state set a goal for reducing energy needs, support the increased use of renewable energy and encourage increased production from cleaner coal-fired and nuclear plants. Our energy needs are actually two pronged—fuel to move our vehicles and electricity to heat/cool our homes and run our industry.
