FLOWER OF THE MONTH:

CARNATION (Dianthus Caryophyllus)

“In sweetness of perfume, beauty of color and symmetry of form, the carnation is unexcelled. These attributes, combined with the ease of culture and the certainty of flowering, give the carnation preeminence among flowering plants. It is also long lasting when cut.”

Rodale, Encyclopedia of Organic Gardening.

The holiday luncheon was a wonderful success. The buffet, the decorations, and especially the company of friends, was enjoyed by all.

Our Club’s card party is set for February 22. Bonnie is chairman and we all need to pitch in and help in every way we can.
