2022 Gala!

Our annual card party, luncheon, silent auction and fashion show was held on April 26, 2022 at Dunwoody United Methodist Church on Mount Vernon Road. Because of continuing COVID concerns we put a ceiling on tickets well below previous attendance.  Nonetheless the event was a great success with 280 happy attendees who enjoyed fellowship, games, a delicious lunch, a lively silent auction, and a superb fashion show provided by Chico's of North Point Alpharetta. We always appreciate feedback on how we can do better, but this year the feedback was: "Our group enjoyed this so much, can you do it more than once a year?"  Oh my!

Every year this event is an "all hands on deck" project for Dunwoody Garden Club members and it requires the contributions of all of us for several months to be the success it is.  This annual gala is our club's only fundraiser and these funds, together with our labor, enable us to continue on-going projects and start new projects that support the community of Dunwoody and vicinity. We also contribute to local, metro-area, and state gardening-related causes.

We are so grateful for our absolutely wonderful sponsors:  The Center for Plastic Surgery at MetroDerm, Dermatology Specialists of Georgia, Your CBD Store Dunwoody, and Face Haven Advanced Aesthetics and Laser Center. They all provide services and products that are tailored to our interests. Please visit the links to their websites shown below. This year the City of Dunwoody was also one of our sponsors and we thank the city.

Can I submit my form online and pay for the ticket using credit card?

As of right now, we are asking that you print the form, complete and mail in your ticket order form with a check payable to the Dunwoody Garden Club.

What happens if the event is unfortunately cancelled?

We definitely hope that we will be able to host, however, there are always things out of our control.  Check our website for any last minute updates.  We will be following Dunwoody United Methodist Church guidelines.  In the event of cancellation, guests will be sent an email or contacted by telephone if necessary.

I am not a bridge or card player, can I still attend?

You certainly do not have to play bridge or cards.  We have numerous guests that attend that do not play cards.  There are large tables set up for this so guests can socialize, enjoy the luncheon and fashion show and peruse the silent auction tables.

I am not interested in attending, however, would like to make a donation.  How do I do that?

We really appreciate all donations.  Please use the address on the ticket order form and make a note that it is a donation.

My business would like to become a sponsor or provide a donation for the silent auction.  Who do I contact?

Please contact Bonnie Barton at bonniebarton@bellsouth.net or 770-639-3510.
